Fences of Stone - Book Signing Party

To benefit the Southborough Historical Society

 

The SHS presents this special event to unveil the beautiful new edition of

 Fences of Stone,

a fascinating journey through Southborough’s history,

written by Nick Noble.

This special evening will feature:

 

Sneak Preview - Unveiling

Be among the first to view the beautiful new artistic printing of Fences of Stone with its illustrated cover depicting one of Southborough’s loveliest historic properties.

 

Wine & Food Pairings

Wonderful imported wines from Spain, Italy, Chile and Australia, paired with delectable foods from those regions. Enhance your own holiday entertaining repertoire! 

 

Live Music

Enjoy lively entertainment by local musicians donating their time and talent for the Southborough Historical Society.

 

Book Signing

Southborough’s own Nick Noble, the author of Fences of Stone, will be on hand to sign your purchases of these sneak preview copies, which will sell for $25 per book.  (They are just in time for holiday presents, hostess gifts, etc.) Only 1000 of these books have been ordered, so don’t put off your purchase!

 

A Unique Educational Opportunity

Hear interesting tid-bits from our town’s history from the author of  Fences of StoneQuestions are encouraged! Learn the history of your town and pass it on to your children…have the knowledge to point out Southborough’s historic landmarks.

 

Multi-media Presentation

See fascinating relics of old Southborough through displays and various media modes, including slide shows and photographic exhibits, ongoing throughout the evening. 

 

Delicious Desserts, Coffee and Nightcaps

End this special evening with gourmet desserts, locally roasted coffees, cordials, and a toast to the Southborough Historical Society!

  Ticket prices are $35* per person and are tax deductible. 

*Ticket price will include a one-year membership to the SHS (value $25)

and a 10% discount on all purchases

 

 All proceeds will benefit the Southborough Historical Society in its effort to:

 

  • Provide and maintain permanent and secure space for the public display of Southborough’s historical artifacts

  • Create meaningful and updated outreach programs for Southborough’s youth to learn and enjoy the history of their town

  • Promote Fences of Stone as a well-documented detailing of Southborough’s history
