4 OUNCE SIZE FROM C.1932 (SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT SHAPE)
BURNETT'S EXTRACT BOTTLES AND PACKAGES FROM THE MID 1940'S, PRIOR TO THE TAKE-OVER BY AMERICAN HOME FOODS (see this link for more on American Home Foods)
Note the use of the both company names on the labels, dating them to the time of the transition to new ownership. The location indicated on the label is at Morris Plains, N.J.

DESIGN AND ADDRESS LOCATIONS AT BROOKLYN, BALTIMORE, NEW YORK, AND MILTON, PA. (some continue to include the Joseph Burnett Company name as it was a division when initially acquired)
Two different Vanilla extract bottles from the Burnett Extract Co., Baltimore & New York. One is a clear glass bottle, while the other is a dark amber color. There is no mention of American Home Foods, Inc., but these are clearly after their acquisition of the company.
A BURNETT, BOSTON BOTTLE FOUND AFTER BEING UNDER WATER FOR SOME TIME. AN UNFORTUNATE CLAM HAD MADE A HOME INSIDE AND, IN TIME, OUTGREW IT'S ONLY MEANS OF ESCAPE Boston is embossed on one side and Burnett is embossed on the other side of the bottle.
Dimensions: 4 1/4 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches in width, and approx. 1 inch deep.

WOODEN CONTAINERS USED BY THE JOSEPH BURNETT COMPANY For selling and shipping their products, much of which went by rail and later by truck. Many more types of containers were used and they will be added to our site when found.

SHIPPING CRATE WHICH CONTAINED 2 DOZEN LEMON EXTRACT
Dimensions: 8 inches long, 6 inches in width, and 5 inches deep
SHIPPING CRATE FOR BOTH BURNETT'S EXTRACTS AND SPICES Shipping crates were made from inexpensive wood and crudely put together to serve one purpose; getting the product to the consumer. Photos below show both sides of the shipping crate.
Dimensions: 13 1/2 inches long, 12 ¼ inches wide, and 11 inches deep.
