The museum is scheduled to officially re-open in the Spring of 2008 with update exhibits on Town Maps, Southborough School History, Joseph Burnett's Family and Business History and (hopefully!) more...

The Historical Society has put on many exhibits in our Museum over the years.  We have permanent exhibits as well as special exhibits that are updated periodically.

WWII "Wall of Names" showcase - Southborough Historical Society members have collected newspaper archives, war monument and funeral/cemetery records to create the "Wall of Names" which showcases residents who served in WWII.  It will be unveiled on Veterans Day (Saturday, November 11th) at the Museum from 11:30AM to 1PM.  Residents are welcome to add names and background material on the soldiers.  This exhibit will be on display through November only.

The "Bits of Southborough" exhibit opened for a short time until the end of April, 2005.  This exhibit included items pertaining to Southborough Arms, fabric and crafts created by Southborough residents, Fire Department history, the Woodward School, local sports photos and more.

Pictures above are examples from current "Bits of Southborough" exhibit including a handloom used by a Southborough Resident during the 19th century and other various items such as vintage shoes and bonnets

In May 2005, we opened the exhibit "Water", with subjects including the Sudbury River, the MDC and the Reservoir, the Mills along Stony Brook and other historical items pertaining to "water" in Southborough.
