News Funding Approved for Archive Protection Material (January, 2005) - The Southborough Historical Society has recently been announced as a recipient of a grant for the purpose of purchasing archive protection material. The grant was given by the Southborough Cultural Council, a local agency, which is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The grant monies will be used to pay for acid free boxes, folders and sleeves to protect the Historical Society’s collection of historical papers photos, and artifacts.
